Siloxane Derivatives

ABIL UV Quat 50 - a new siloxane copolymer with a high content of UV absorbing methoxycinnamic acid groups and a small ratio of cationic functions combines both characteristics, silicone and cationic. This ingredient provides overall best protection in both types of rinse-off formulations, shampoo and conditioner.

Functional Keratin™

Functional Keratin is produced by New Zealand company, Keratec. It claims to be closer in form to native keratins than any other biomaterial currently available. Other keratins currently available have been denatured using harsh processes to make them soluble. These harsh processes effectively destroy the functionality of the proteins.

Lactolan LS 5879 - Milk bio-matabolite used for regeneration and stimulation of hair bulb; moisturization and conditioning, and protection and repair of damaged hair

Oceagen LS 8424 - Native marine collagen included for moisturization, physiological substrate, bio-protection and repair

How UV Hair Protection Product Ingredients Work

Untreated hair fibres are progressively damaged by exposure to UV radiation resulting in a decrease in the tensile strength of the hair.

Destructive effect of UV concerns especially such hair which was previously damaged by hair styling, for example: dying, peroxiding or permanent contouring.

The efficient protection against UV damage by the pre-treatment of hair with Lactolan® LS 5879 or Seanamin® FP LS 5988. Lactolan® LS 5879 not only gives photoprotection on normal hair but also on colored hair.

Seanamin® FP LS 5988 - a protective and repairing effect against UV radiation. It increases the photoprotecting action up to 30%.

Keratec IFP ingredient works by maintaining hair structure and condition, all the way from the root by forming a protective shield on the hair. Using 1% and 5% active ingredient in a conditioner base.
