ANTIAGING TREATMENTS: HAIR
Hair Loss Treatments
Not every proposed solution will cure hair loss in
one person. It is important that a correct diagnosis
is made as to the likely cause
of hair loss before deciding on treatment.
Treatments can be either:
- Preventative
- Restorative
- Surgical
- Cosmetic

Expected Results
The sooner treatment is started the more successful
the results. The process of hair loss occurs over many
years; so steps can be taken to prevent it occurring
as well as attempting reversal. It is therefore best
to start treatment within the first 5 years of noticing
balding. Many treatments use a multiple approach to
both reverse past balding and prevent future hair loss.
The expected time promised for results also ranges
from 3-18 months, with the cheapest product offering
a 3 month expectation.

3. SOD's - Super Oxide Dismutase treatments
work by controlling the immune response which occurs
as a result of excessive DHT in the follicle. When cells
sense a foreign body, they release Super Oxide to help
defend against the assumed foreign tissue. SOD's reduce
the presence of this Super Oxide, thereby reducing the
body's desire to reject the follicle. They also have
growth stimulation and anti-inflammatory properties.
