Beans

Beans have protein, fiber, and folate as well as key health supporters - antioxidants.

The darkest-colored beans have the hightest antioxidant content, in order: black, red, brown, yellow, and white.

Berries

Berries come in a range of different colors determined by the chemicals in the skin and pulp of the fruit. Generally, darker colors mean more nutrients; meaning those berries that are blue and black have higher nutritional value. The best antiaginag berries are strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. If possible, get organic berries - as berries tend to hold pesticides due to their high water content.

Blueberries

Blueberries are full of antioxidants and prevent aging.

Brocolli

Commonly known for its gas producing properties, brocolli is heralded for its other noise supporting benefits - protection against cancer of the larynx, better known as your voice box.

High intake of fiber from fruits and vegetables and unrefined wholegrain cereals cut the risk of laryngeal cancer. Other fiber rich foods include:

  • Fiber rich vegetables - peas, artichokes, winter squash, and cabbage.
  • Fiber-rich fruits - raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, and dried figs.

The positive health effect of Cruciferous vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower may be due to their ability to influence the secretion of a cholesterol transporter, impacting Lipid synthesis with a cardioprotective effect.
